I am glad TurboTax gets me to simplify my tax filing efforts. It gives me a lot of guidance when certain issues emerge. Help is always there.
What's great about it: Very user friendly
What's not so great: Getting more expensive to get another state software

Getting Better and Better

I used Turbo Tax for several years, then switched to a preparer because of a death in the family and need to deal with complicated issues. Now I'm back to Turbo Tax and find that it is much easier to use than in the past. I will use it again next year.
What's great about it: It is much easier to use than in past years.
What's not so great: Could not find a good way to look up publications if I wanted to.

Error Report for no Error

I have a few issues with TurboTax. The main problem- when using Schedule C-EZ, line C. The form says "If no separate business name, leave blank." Which is what I do. However, it comes up as an error when I run error check, and worse, it won't allow me to file my return electronically. PLEASE fix this. The other issue I have it that it asks me to file my state #Michigan# return electronically, which I would love to do, but cannot. I have to complete a second state #Indiana# return due to earning money in that state, which gets taxed by the county. I have to send a copy of my Indiana return with the Michigan return. Don't ask me to file electronically when I can't!
What's great about it: Fairly easy to use.
What's not so great: Not completely thorough

Could NOT be easier

I had paid to have my taxes done for years, and had actually found mistakes THEY had made on my own. Then a friend recommended Turbo Tax (whos taxes are more complicated than mine). So I tried it. What a piece of cake !!! As long as I have to pay taxes it will be Turbo Tax for me ..
