has some trouble this year

I have always used turbo tax without problem so am familiar with it. This year it would not send my return early, beginning of March, because it didn't have the correct forms from IRS. However it DID NOT email me forms as promised when they became available. I had to constantly recheck over the next month. Then all of a sudden it told me to "update" and there they were, were they there all along? and turbo forgot to explain to me? Help was unhelpful and while it was advertised I could call for help no phone number was provided anywhere that I could find. Finally after forms were available it would't let me e file over and over I tried to update and e file to no avail. Finally fed up I printed my returns to mail in. I didn't really need turbo tax to do that I WANTED to e file. But by now its 4/ 6 and deadline is fast approaching. But work is crazy I don't actually mail it so try one more time tonight to e file and for reasons I can't understand viola it goes through. What a pain to require so many days of effort to do something that was always easy for me in past years of turbo tax. What happened this year Turbo Tax???????
What's great about it: as always very easy to use overall
What's not so great: lots of trouble this year actually submitting, e filing return

My taxes were fairly simple, but several questions/inputs were not allowed to be detailed enough...kinda all or nothin' events.
What's great about it: User friendly, references, links
What's not so great: not able to view step-by-step alongside forms window
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The Costs Are Now Too High For What You Get

While I have recommended TurboTax up to this point as the way to go, the software has gotten more expensive and the E-file fees have gone up radically. It is now at the point that I will try a competitor's product next year instead.
We used to get a discount for buying the next year's version of TurboTax, but they no longer reward repeat customers. I've used TurboTax since at least 2002 and they are just soaking us too much now.
What's great about it: Ease of filling in--you don't have to do any calculations.
What's not so great: The E-File fees have jumped significantly year after year.

During E-file when selecting payment TurboTax message "needs to save file" then freezes on a blank screen. I was able to E-file Federal because no payment was required. Otherwise had no problems with tax software. I noticed that on the support Web site other people had the same problem but so far no updates from TurboTax to correct this problem??? I have used TurboTax for years and never had this problem before.
What's great about it: Great tax software
What's not so great: Could not e-file state return
