Ease of use

I prepare the taxes for several family members. The program provides me with the necessary tools to complete a complicated return. as well as the ease of completing a return for the students in the family.
What's great about it: easy to get through a return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Updating the software

Gets me thru all personal and small business aspects.
What's great about it: step-by-step guides are consistent from year to year
What's not so great: why not do software updating at the start of the process, instead of at the end?

Excessively buggy and efiling failed

I am a long time satisfied Turbo Tax filer but it was buggy and frustrating this year, wouldn't go through when I tried to e-file, the supposed fixes to permit e-filing didn't work, and I ended up filing by mail after doing lots of unnecessary work to try to make it work right. Not good enough.
What's great about it: easy to prepare forms
What's not so great: updates didn't load right; efiling failed and couldn't be fixed
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Great tax software

This is the best tax software I've ever use. Just buy the program and it allows for 5 free federal e-file. My entire family does their taxes this way!

last yeear i was able to deduct interest paid on credit cards. why was this changed?

Great! But one thing in 2013

In 2013, I had to prorate my points by myself. In 2012, it divided points paid by the years on the loan.
What's great about it: Simple, orderly,complete
What's not so great: Didn't pro-rate points
Pros: I had a baby
