Using TurboTax was very easy. I would definitely recommend the software/online version to anyone.
What's great about it: Easy to understand and follow
What's not so great: Better explanations. Example: Insurance for homeowners

Overall, it was a good program. Just got frustrated at the end when I tried to efile, and got in this endless loop of the program trying to update itself. Then after reading an online forum of how to fix, (my install cd was still in), portions of my imported w2 kept disappearing and I had to re enter those. Also no ease of help online or a phone number to call.
What's great about it: easy to use for the most part
What's not so great: frustration when it came time to efile

Federal: The proper amount of Personal Property Tax does not flow to Sch A when there are multiple Sch C businesses using the same vehicle.
State (CA) : Although the Federal data flowed well to the first state (VA), it did not do so for the second state (CA) forcing me to do manual entries of data to complete the return; I am a Tax professional, a layman would have been unable to finish the return.
Updates (all): The updates were extremely slow and often faulted out before completing, usually after more than 20 minutes (when the advertized download time would be less than 2 minutes)..
I have been a longstanding Turbo user and participate in the auto renewal program. I was most disappointed with the program this year. It is time to step up your game before a competitor gets my business.
Your tech support is still first class. Because of that, I got the return filed this year. I will renew again next year but expect that you will have the bugs worked out by then.

21 years of Dependability!

I am the spouse of a CPA and I have done our taxes for the last 21 years with Turbo Tax. Taxes are tedious. Turbo Tax ask the questions so you feel confident that your taxes are getting filed correctly. If you use Turbo Tax every year and transfer your information from the year before it saves time, less errors and input. The states are great, especially if you move frequently. You can put as much information and documentation in as you want. Customer service is great if you need to use them!
What's great about it: Keeping track of all the information you need for the next year! Comparisons are interesting and informative.
What's not so great: I cannot think of any!

I HAVE BEEN USING TURBO TAX FOR SOME TIME NOW AND IT JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND EASIER TO DO. THANKS TURBO TAX.

Very easy to use and understand. But I was allowed to get another state forms. I purchased the Deluxe version and it included any state as long as it was papered file. Every time I asked for another state you want to charge me for it.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: was not able to get another state form
