Incredibly useful software as someone who majored in Accounting and have just recently transitioned into the business world, this definitely made my taxes incredibly simple (and somewhat... fun??). My dad and I had a good time sitting down and using this software - and that refund's a nice reward!
Excellent product, thank you!
What's great about it: Importing tax forms (ie: W2)
What's not so great: Offers/ads in the middle of tax return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This is not my first experience with TurboTax. It's a robust program that does take some time to work through but is mostly straightforward and helpful. There are sometimes multiple ways to get to the same goal and this can be useful. There are also (naturally) plenty of chances to "upsell" to other Intuit products. This is not super-intrusive.
What's great about it: Thorough and things are well explained
What's not so great: Constant, fussy updating even up to tax time

continue to enjoy using TurboTax. Love the guided format and yty comparisons for income and deductions and federal. If there's any way to speed through the state questions a bit more efficiently that would help. This is North Carolina for us. But despite the repetitive NC questioning on not likely activity I love how Turbo Tax posts the data so quickly.
What's great about it: thorough, patient, good explanations
What's not so great: you could delete the self-advertising
Pros: I bought or sold investments

The 2013 version of Turbo Tax has to be the friendliest version yet. The step-by-step, on-screen directions and interview questions were straight-forward and easy to follow. It's versatile enough to take the uninformed completely through the menu driven portion of the application or the manual, forms driven portions for the experts that know what to do.
Good work! I have no intention of using another tax preparation software package.
What's great about it: Ease of use and interview style questions.
What's not so great: Still have to pay a fee for e-filing of state tax returns.

Could help filer by reviewing items that require entries but are no longer relevant for filers with multiple income streams. For example, I have multiple vehicles that I use with multiple businesses. A matching and eliminating of vehicles with businesses at the start would reduce the error generation during the error checking phase. May be a set up phase at the beginning that reviews and updates assets like vehicles and provides a storage file for information like vehicles could keep information that filers would need through out the filing process. the same idea applies to multiple rental assets. Create a data base of assets based on past filings that keep records so that filers don't have to make separate records to reference. I have used Turbo Tax for many years.
What's great about it: Good to have Turbo Tax's help
What's not so great: Help to KISS (keep it simple s...)
