Hang-ups

Hang-up was on medical savings accounts. You assumed from my W-2 that I had a medical savings account. However, I had neither a W-2 nor a medical savings account. Yet, I could not get rid of the associated form that kept appearing as a error on my return. Getting by this hang-up you created was very frustrating and no assistance was available. I finally wrote on the form that it was not applicable. I hope it gets through IRS okay. If not, this will be your problem to resolve.
What's great about it: Preparation generally went smoothly
What's not so great: No point of contact for hang-ups

Never a Problem!!

I have been using TurboTax for over 15 years and I have been extremely pleased with the results for all of those years.
What's great about it: covers things that even I didn't think about

What's great about it: Super User Friendly and step by steps made simple/easy

The step by step method was very fast and easy to use. Very thorough and concise at the same time.
What's great about it: easy to follow step by step guide
What's not so great: help screens hard to navigate
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Simple and Mostly Painless

Overall I have been satisfied with TurboTax through the years, I have been using TurboTax since 1988. My only problem has been because I live in NH and work in MA TurboTax always uses my Free State Download to download NH (which by the way has NO Income Tax) and I have to call the support center every year to get Massachusetts. They are always very congenial and helpful but I would like to see them put some type of a prompt in if the state you live in has NO Income Tax. Otherwise it is a terrific program.
What's great about it: Easy to load and Easy to use Step by Step instruction
What's not so great: Had to call to get the correct State return

Turbo Tax is a great product and I have been using it for years. I also plan on continuing to use it.
However, I do more than one person's taxes using TurboTax each year. I find it confusing relative to the use of the FREE state return when I do someone else's return before I do mine. I try to not use the FREE until I do my return but the software won't let me.
You need to make this easier and change the options.

Turboed my taxes

Thanks so much for providing me a great product, I've been using your product since we built our home in 1994.
How about a coupon for a great discount price next year?
What's great about it: It was great really liked how it took care of me
What's not so great: didn't like that I couldn't deduct the state filing fee against my refund amount without paying a huge fee

Couldn't e-file

After downloading the required update upon loading Turbo-Tax, I completed my return and wanted to e-file. Got a message that my return couldn't be e-filed because there was an update available. It instructed me to go to the TurboTax "menu" to do this. There was no obvious link to a menu. Therefore, I chose to mail my return instead. Never had this problem in past years. THIS PROBLEM IS PREDICTABLE/CORRECTABLE BY YOUR PROGRAMMER. What a sad ending to an otherwise positive experience.
