The Saga of the K-1

For tax matters other than the K-1, Turbo worked well and was easy to follow. That is not true of the K-1 matter. For the K-1, there are too many anomalies or disconnects between 1) the language on the Form K-1; 2) the language in the program; and 3) the language in the instructions when an error is detected. This leads to a lot of time consuming guesswork.
The K-1 error messages (the only ones for me) do not link back to the drop down window input screens making it extremely difficult to perform trial and error corrections. There are no procedures for adding a second or third K-1 worksheet and I had to guess what data had to be repeated.
The K-1 itself is a travesty by the government and impossible to understand for non-tax pros. Part of this problem was my unfamiliarity with the form. That problem was exacerbated by sketchy instructions in the program.
What's great about it: Turbo tops except for K-1 processing
What's not so great: K-1 processing can be improved

I have been using TurboTax for 7 years. I can always trust that the information I am entering is valid. My audit risk is always low and e-filing is the BEST.
What's great about it: ease of imports

I HAVE BEEN USING TURBO TAX FOR YEARS NOW . IT MAKES ME FEEL CONFIDENT THAT MY TAX RETURN IS FREE FROM ERROR AND IT GIVES ME A SENSE OF SECURITY THAT I REPORTED ALL INCOME AND DEDUCTED ALL THE EXPENSES ALLOWED. I WILL KEEP ON USING IT.
What's great about it: IT EASY TO USE
