need better explainations for the help issues

I was not easy to do taxes for the first time.
When needing questions answered turbo tax did not have the help available, either site down, or no answer to my questions

Awesome Turbo

Awesome program.
Would highly recommend Turbo Tax to everyone.
I really liked being able to get "immediate answers" to
the few questions I had.
I loved the free e-file option and
printing of all the return, worksheets, etc.
Not sure how you could make it any easier and better.

Good Memory

Using this software over several years is very helpful as the previous returns are saved and referred to automatically. Because I have a large number of charities with small donations and don't support them all every year, it would be helpful if the software remembered the list for three years at a time, not just the last return. Being able to stop at any time and resume from where I left off is great. The process of going back to a specific topic or line item to review or make a change could be more direct and it is annoying to have to answer the same questions for that section over again.
What's great about it: Very thorough and fast considering the tax complexity
What's not so great: The 1099-B section was not available at first

Fast and Furious Refund

Once again, I enjoyed using this turbo tax deluxe. It does everything for you and gives you the best refund possible. I look forward to using it again next year.
What's great about it: Ease of use, asks all the right questions, does everything for you

Really Good but Needs an Improvement

For W-2's received for short- and long-term disability with a "J" in box 12, more programming should be done to accept these with the e-file option. If Box 1 is empty you reject the whole return to be e-filed. Every year in the past this has not been a problem for me (on long-term disability). The program needs to be edited to check for the "J", "Third Party Sick Pay", Box 1, 2, 3, etc., to determine if it doesn't need to be reported at all since it is clearly stated to be non-taxable income. Quite a few people have complained about this. Some do have to include it because of withholding or State's handling but that should be explained clearly somewhere in the program when you enter it into the Income section. You do everything else so cleanly and clearly, why not this as well. At least tell us up front and not at the very end. It's very frustrating to think you're all finished and then to have this pop up.

What's great about it: So easy to follow the step by step process. Been using it for 5 years now and know exactly what to gather in what order
What's not so great: Some explanations are a bit "technical" and need to be "dumbed down" a bit..not much tho

I have used turbotax for the last 6 years. It works well for everything except forign taxes. It does not remember what I did in the previous year And it is not easy to follow. For every thing else it is a very good product.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I've used this product for several years now and I'm very happy with the ease of use. I've never used another tax software. Don't need to!!

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and like it cause it is accurate and dependable. It transfers my information from year to year with no errors. I like the fact that you can download from banks and financial institutions and it goes to the right forms.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Have to pay to file State Return
