no so great

I use turbo tax for the last three years .
this year e file didnt work and the mail is slow.

Can't Enter Gambling Losses

I found a bug in your product when I tried to enter the date for some gambling winnings and losses but was prevented from doing so. I am now at risk for submitting an inaccurate return so you could hear more about this.
What's great about it: Otherwise, very simple to use.
What's not so great: Prevented normal completion of my 2013 1040 tax return

Super simple

My wife and I have used TurboTax for our taxes for the past decade and have thoroughly appreciated it's relatively simple interface and question/answer format. It has improved in the way that HSA info is input over a few years ago, which is great. I had some difficulty in finding where to put my health insurance premiums paid as it wasn't in the search query box, but eventually I found it. I also like that it transfers my info from year to year so I don't waste time w/ that kind of data entry and eliminate mistakes. I also like the refund calculator that has a running total of my refund. It's rewarding to see it move as I go through the forms.
What's great about it: transfers last years info, easy to answer questions, refund calculator
What's not so great: health insurance premium input
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to use

I have been using Turbo Tax for a long time and it is very easy to use. The only issue is you can not electronic file small Ohio tax returns.
What's great about it: Electronic filing
What's not so great: Can not electronic small Ohio tax

Costs are crazy

The program hasn't really added anything from what was here last year.
It DOES allow multi-line address entries that other software does not.
The cost keeps going up for nothing new. State filing fees went up!! More expensive than other software charges. Ridiculous money grab!
The re-start after updates does NOT. It says, "Restarting TurboTax" then just goes away #Win 7#.
Does not do much of anything that less expensive software does really.
An option to start adding things in the next tax year--for tracking purposes--would really add to the value. E.g., Sales of items with gains/losses; business expenses; vehicle fees and mileages; medical expenses as they occur.
What's great about it: More complete data entry sections
What's not so great: Costs to file state(s) insanely high. No data entry for "next year."

Great Software

Overall a good product. I purchase my turbo tax in early January.
and load it. I add tax info as it arrives and finish in 3 hours. I have used Turbo Tax for 10 years,

TurboTax Deluxe 2013

My 6th year using TurboTax and it couldn't be easier! Imports all info from the previous year and I was done and e-filed in no time at all. All from the comfort of my home while everyone was sleeping.
What's great about it: Very easy and quick
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
