When I tried to e-File, it kept telling me there were updates that I needed to install before e-filing. I went thru this three times til I clicked the "help" button to get help. The "help" application indicated this was a problem Mac desktop users were having. After turning my computer off and turning back on, it worked just fine. Other than that, TurboTax is great and easy to use. I've never used anything else, so I cannot compare it to other products.
What's great about it: Simple to use
What's not so great: Had a problem w/ efile

I have been using Turbo Tax to do our taxes for years now and I love it, but I am not happy this year at the push for E-File of your tax return. Simplifiy it please. Thank you.

Mostly a breeze

easy entry, but sometimes difficult to understand review error corrections.
What's great about it: downloading investment info
What's not so great: some companies not compatable with this program

If it was not for the con of trying to fix the errors, it would have been a 5 star rating.
What's great about it: easy to file
What's not so great: on errors reviews you cannot click to take you to form
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax use

I like using the software because it gets updated as the tax laws change. It allows you opportunity to look for deductions you may not have thought would be deductions.
I would like to see TurboTax send out a reminder 'cheat sheet" for lack of a better term, that reminds Users of Turbo Tax of items they can deduct during the year which would allow them to collect and track those deductions better during the year.

What's great about it: The software can be checked for updates and guides you through every possible deduction

Turbo tax is a fast, easy, efficient and highly accurate means by which to complete your taxes. The program takes one through the tax forms step-by-step, double-checking data as one proceeds. Makes filing almost pleasant!
