I have used Turbo Tax for the last 18 years in preparing my taxe, you can ask for a better piece of software
What's not so great: I work for the railroad and overpayment of railroad retirement forms are not included

Still usin' TurboTax

I've used TurboTax for over 10 years and have found it consistently provides the guidance and tools needed to submit my returns with confidence. Some years have been pretty basic, but some have required dealing with Trusts, K-1 entries, and other variables that are less than routine. While instructions are not as detailed on lesser-used forms, I have found that I am consistently able to work through issues and submit returns with confidence ... unlike some of my friends who have paid hundreds of dollars to "professionals" with no better results!
What's great about it: Consistent Format consistent year-to-year, and generally good instructions and prompts
What's not so great: Intuit sometimes pushes included capabilities and forms to more costly product (i.e. Deluxe to Premier)
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I updated my software everytime i used it, but in the end it would not send my data electronically.
What's great about it: Form process was fine
What's not so great: Would not send my return electronicly

Rocked My Refund

All in all the program was a pleasure to work with. I did hit one problem, where the program would not recognize the fact that I had no taxable income.

My prior tax prep method, is that I didn't file last year.
What's great about it: Simplicity of program and the support accountant

Turbo Virgin No More!

I am a first time Turbo Tax user. While the experience was not completely painless, I'll definitely be back in 2015!!
What's great about it: Technical support---real people in real time. Knowledgable and professional
What's not so great: I use a Mac and experienced some problems with the applications. Hopefully these glitches can be addressed before 2015.

I owe the IRS

I have been using Turbo Tax over ten years. While this is the first year I have ever owed the IRS money, Turbo Tax, as always, guided me through the filing process. The surpises I encountered in filing my taxes for 2013 were easily handled by Turbo Tax. I just feel much better using Turbo Tax than I would using a tax preparer, because while I am using Turbo Tax, I feel like I'm their only customer and that all their services are at my disposal immediately.
What's great about it: Just follow the directions.
What's not so great: Not One!

Grreat Turbo!

I like Turbo Tax, but it can often be frustrating.
What's great about it: I like that it asks you questions to help you fill out you tax return.
What's not so great: I never could get a PIN to finish the return - had to call support.
