Awesome Turbo Tax

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. Its easy, detailed, answers questions that I have.
What's great about it: Easy to use, detailed
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

2013 tax year return

After two years of using an (overpriced) accountant, I returned to TurboTax to prepare my 2013 returns, and I'm glad I did.
Positives:
(1# I was able to do away with the expensive, clumsy Quick Books software that my accountant required. Though I own a small business #in addition to my 9-to-5 job#, I do not have a large number of annual transactions for either my A/R or A/P ledger, so tracking everything in an Excel spreadsheet is much easier -- especially since TurboTax makes it just about idiot-proof when it comes to typing the right number into the right field.
#2# I like being able to play with the numbers without having to either create an entirely new return or spend costly time talking to a tax pro to discuss options. Specifically, I had a depreciation situation for the first time and was able to determine the most beneficial way to account for it.
Negatives:
#1# Early in the process I was given an option for tweaking payments for estimated 2014 quarterly taxes, allowing me to round up, etc. I never saw that option again after I had to go in to make fixes across the various categories of my returns.
#2# It's probably more lucrative for you to limit such a feature to the premier edition, but I'd love an option that allows me to upload stock sales info via a spreadsheet file #or some comparable CSV format).
All in all, though, doing my taxes was a much less painless experience than last year, when my accountant made $2,200 of mistakes that resulted in me having to file amended returns.

Easy Taxes

I have used TTax for many, many years and each year the changes are automatically updated in TTax so that a quick review is available on-line. The support and the "Ask the Community" is definitely a Godsend. I expect to continue to use TTax in the future. Thank you!
What's great about it: Choices - select my own or follow guide
What's not so great: To edit an item the need to go back and back and back

State tax section was confusing, and so was the royalty section.
