Need to fix the 1099-k portion of the program. Second year that it is hard to understand and difficult to navigate through.
What's not so great: Very Poor execution of the 1099-K portion of the instructions and help
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

TT only showed categories "A", "B", "C", for posting capital gains were as the brokerage statement continued with D, E, F. Took me a while to figure out how to handle it and TT's instructions were not clear.

had to file an estate return this year. disappointed that the software did not interact with deluxe software and that state forms required even a third purchase.
Also couldn't understand requirement to get updates before e-filing. If that important just make updates mandatory at the beginning not at the end.
Had trouble getting depreciation to show on schedule e supporting 1041. Not sure it is correct but couldn't spend any more time with it.
access to turbo way too slow when opening. Also experienced several times when program not responding. Don't think it was my PC as I just had virus removal a week before.
Finally I use a separate computer at my winter home and still can't transfer last year's info. and end up taking my pc along. should be an easier way.

What's not so great: had to buy three separate software packages to file estate return and well as regular 1040 and state return.

I don't usually participate in these ratings but I have made an exception. Turbo tax writers know this is a very serious product like USA constitution writers the product is self evident. As they continue the improve the product, it possibly in the future become what personal computer is to life today. What I am saying is Turbotax can be used by anyone no matter your level of education and this is saying alot for a product that is dealing with a complicated subject known to mankind. I give it 5 star
What's great about it: Ease of use, better than US Navy and Airforce GPS, Turbotax is the best out in the mkt
What's not so great: Explain area could better if done in household english

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and have a fairly complex return. Turbo Tax has worked wonderfully for me until this year.
In 2013 I incurred a Net Operating Loss. I had no idea that Turbo Tax would not calculate the loss or generate the forms necessary. This loss can carry back or forward. I was able to elect to carry forward through the Turbo Tax program, but what will I do next year when I actually want to use the carry forward and Turbo Tax won't do the calculations? It seems that the software handles a lot of other, more complicated situations with ease. Why not this?

Generally, Instructions/forms easy to follow.
SEE Cons---Every worksheet and form should be optional to allow or suppress printing.
What's not so great: when printing, thare are some pages I do not want: estimated tax; interest and donation worksheets.

Overall the 2012 product was a little better.
What's great about it: overall very good
What's not so great: Had some difficulty finding where to credit my refund to next years taxes and where to find credit from 2012
