So Simple

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and it has been a wonderful tool. It makes doing our taxes so much easier and way faster. Don't know how I would live without it.
What's great about it: Reminds me of material I would forget
What's not so great: None

Struggled again

The program correctly entered the carryover in payment from the last return but ignored the estimated tax payments. I had to override this item to enter the correct amount. Not good!
Overall, I really like TT but unless you have a really simple return it is a great advantage to have a reasonable knowledge of the tax system.
What's great about it: Ability to download broker data
What's not so great: If the answer doesn't fit the mold there is no recourse.

What's great about it: process is getting easier, more streamlined
What's not so great: when going back, some answers are not saved and have to be retyped
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy Use!

Really like that it updated files from last year's return and to also import data from financial institutions to make the whole process easier.
What's great about it: Easy to use program; especially like that it has the capability to import data
What's not so great: none!

Great Tax Tool

Very easy to use. As long as you have all of your information handy, it is a breeze. Much cheaper than using a tax service and a lot less expensive than a CPA as long as you don't have any unusual circumstances.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Asks all the right questions. Anyone can do it

Terrific deal and terrific product.
Why anyone would use an accountant is beyond me.
What's great about it: TurboTax automatically reviews the return and allows you to correct errors.

Get your info together, import some data, make your entries and follow the screens. Want to stop and pickup later? It does that also, just where you left off..............smooth
What's great about it: Takes my data year to year
What's not so great: What's not to like??????
