Good Tax Tool

Have used this software successfully for many years. No problems. Timely issue of next version enables early forecast of next year's taxes (w/in fed limits imposed).
What's great about it: Easy to use; Good input featrures; clear printouts; good tech support
What's not so great: None apparent

I've been using Turbo Tax for years, and see no reason to do my taxes any other way!
What's great about it: Fast, accurate, easy
What's not so great: None

I'm no genius but with the help of the crew at Turbo Tax I've managed to do my own tax return for many years and every year they keep making it better and easier. Thanks Team Turbo Tax!!
What's great about it: Easy to follow help, No arithmetic errors. Quick!
What's not so great: Ya still gotta put in the data!!

Contributions - in the Deduction section was diffo4icult to interface with.
Specifically, i needed to add additional information re: 2-3 chartiable entities.
Per my understanding, i needed to delete the original entity name / description prior entering the corrected info full info, i. e., I could not edit the original entity name / description.

For Example, I originally entered " Bishop's Appeal ' as a charible entity. I then wanted to make it " Bishop's Appeal - Diocese of Oakland " to provide the IRS clarifying information.
What's great about it: Essentially straight forward
What's not so great: Contributions - in the deduction section.

Not as flexible as I'd like it to be

I could not copy any text from any displays. I would want that to keep some notices/warnings/tips for future reference.
The summary electronic filing sheet did not specify which sheets need to be mailed with my payment check.
What's great about it: consistent with prior years look and feel
What's not so great: cannot copy text from any displays; no summary of what to mail

EZ & Thorough

As usual, very easy to complete tax forms, even though my situation became complex with move to another state. Automatic transfer to state returns makes completion easier. Would have liked to have been able to transfer from free on-line version to Deluxe version after deciding that I needed to purchase the boxed version.
What's great about it: Interviews
What's not so great: Cost of "extras"
