Best Turbo Tax in Years

I have used Turbo Tax for many years, but this year's product seemed so much easier to use - BEST in years! I have a lot of deductions & Turbo Tax helped me find every one of them AND had easy to understand explanations!
What's great about it: Less complicated than prior years
What's not so great: NONE!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Excellent package. You fixed the problem of potentially including Medicare Part B premiums twice in medical deductions.
I was really frustrated trying to sign into my account at the end when I just wanted to finish a challenging day preparing the taxes and submitte both of my previous passwords and both were not accepted. Then when I tried to get a new password, I got a window telling me to get an email with a pin and then put it in the window to submit a new password. I could not get to my email without closing the window. Once I got the pin from my email, I could not get back to the pin window without starting the whole process and consequently the pin was no longer valid. This became a circular problem, so I finally ignored getting to my account and created the billing info.
This was a very frustrating event at the point that I was almost...but not quite done.
I only use my password once a year, even other sites present me with the same problem, if I have not used the password for a long time. The password is really a poor approach. It assumes that a site is the only site the user cares for and in this electronic age a user may have dozens of passwords.
What's not so great: Can't get pin for new password from email without closing Turbotax box and can't get back to TurboTax Pin box after.

Solid, Useful Program

I've been using TurboTax for quite a number of years now, and it gets easier to use every year. I am impressed more this year with the transfer of data from Quicken than in past years. There seemed to be few glitches any more. I highly recommend the program.
What's great about it: Clear, efficient, helpful
What's not so great: Still a few obscure references to clear up (probably IRS' fault!)

2013 Turbo Tax

I love using Turbo Tax. It is easy to understand and walks me through each section. The income sections are very user friendly. The deduction section is clean and easy to navigate.
What's great about it: Quick, Easy and accurate. Guided me through the preparation process.
What's not so great: 2012s version was easier to navigate. This year I had to keep scrolling down after each section.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax transfers info and asks the right questions to not waste time. I like the options of explanations when needed. They are a click away.
What's great about it: Easy to follow steps with explanations
What's not so great: Sometimes hard to get back where you wanted to start again without answering the same questions again.

Great for me, but for everyone?

I've used TurboTax "forever" (as long as it's been around). I like doing my own taxes, and have compared my results with a CPA a few times - finding no differences.
However, none of my friends do their own and seem to feel intimidated by the thought of so doing. I can see that some of the terminology used could turn folks off, but really folks, once you get the hang of doing your taxes, you will save $hundreds by doing your own.
What's great about it: Walks one through every step of the way
What's not so great: Some terms are still confusing, and might be really hard for the novice to understand.
