Lots of help with all of the features located within the software. Most if not all my questions were answered without having to contact the help line.

I thought that Turbo tax performed a little better than last
year 2013. although it seemed to take longer to boot up.

What's great about it: after logging off........able to get back to the same place
What's not so great: need to develop better system to enter info from banks

Federal Return Limit

I am very disappointed regarding the Federal e-file transmission of 5. I have completed 2 of my nephew's taxes, my aunt's, my mom's, and my sister's taxes. I DO NOT CHARGE them. My time is free. I went to e-file my federal and state together, and I was unable to e-file my federal because there is a maximum of 5 federal e-files. I do not know why since I can go to the IRS site and file free there... This has caused a major inconvenience. I am very disappointed
What's great about it: Great tax software, love it, used it for years
What's not so great: Limit on Federal Returns

Takes out some of the stress

Overall this helps take the stress out of filling out tax forms. I cannot imagine how I would do it like my father did some 20+ years ago. I am pretty technical but my attention span for accounting is not so good. Turbo Tax makes this a manageable job.
It is still a little stressful to click "send" but overall a great experience.
What's great about it: Walked me through the forms I needed and remembered the "stuff" from last year.
What's not so great: Since I have some business income along with my regular W-2 income I had to pay close attention to a few items.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Wow! Super Refund

Turbo Tax makes the dreaded job of preparing and filing both Federal and State returns simple and efficient. Confident that all possible deductions and tax credits were applied. Highly recommend this software.
What's great about it: Intuitive, prompted well for appropriate information
What's not so great: Does not prepare local tax return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Really "Estate Taxes"

Turbo Tax helped an unremarkable Tax return turn into something respectable. The details about Mortgage companies collecting your taxes to be paid from your escrow is often hidden. By forcing a 2nd review for something that I attributed to being something that I could not take as a deduction TT helped to increase my returns by over 1/3. That kind of information helps the middle class families like ours keep more of our hard earned monies. That is so true when we are empty nesters and have limited deductions. Thank you and keep pushing the envelope in your deduction understandings and keep pushing those of us reluctant to take a chance.
What's great about it: TT found a deduction for us that was hidden by my mortgage broker
What's not so great: the help screeens are too small and should have a little more ddetail for quicker decision making
