Love it even more

This product just keeps on getting better, I started using it a few years ago and continue to get impressed each year with the ease of use. The additional states are a bit expensive when compared to the original price of the product but overall I still save money.
What's great about it: This makes it a snap to complete
What's not so great: Did not run on my old system, had to put it on the new one, bummer :-)

Want a better outcome

I use turbo tax each year because it cost far less than paying someone. However, I see so many commercials from paid tax
preparers' that advertise getting the highest refund possible. I need guidance to that refund. We have to pay each year.

Step-by-step Help on Tax Preparation

Every year, Turbo Tax has greatly assisted in the preparation and filing of our income taxes. Turbo Tax is an excellent tool in accomplishing the preparation of all tax forms.
What's great about it: Guided directions and steps in tax preparation
What's not so great: None

Overall great software as usual

The Federal is my usual usage only. However, I worked part time in MA and there the filing was confusing in one error found regarding a specific line entry not adding up correctly and wanted a statement.
What's great about it: Easy to follow. Except State
What's not so great: State tax was a confusing, but used the questions/help and I am assuming I read the advice correctly.

I have used Turbo Tax every year since 1998 and have never been disappointed in the ease and accuracy of the results. This program does everything but type in the information for you.
What's great about it: Step by step guidance
What's not so great: Not compatible with with previous years returns

Fairly seamless. Only issue came when trying to efile. Kept asking me to download updates. Did this to no avail. Saved all and then reentered new electronic ID numbers (signatories) which seemed to solve the problem--they were prepopulated from last year.

1. TurboTax should make it easier to "call" TurboTax live, to ask quick question while preparing taxes -- especially when in the middle of doing one's return.
2. When you are first asked if you prefer to e-file or print, it should notify the user that if you owe taxes, you can still e-file and that "the next few screens will show what your payment options are and how to pay with e-file option".
3. It should allow you to preview your return before finalizing everything.
