What's great about it: everything but K-1s, great downoad feature for 1099s and W-2s
What's not so great: partnership K-1s weak

Better than a sharp stick in the eye...

See cons above + I found I was unable to print the packages without first saving them in the PDF format... Nice if one could do that from the appropriate page within the T-Tax program...
What's great about it: This version seems to be a bit faster than previous versions
What's not so great: Could not find a place to write off additional fed/state taxes paid on last year's return...

Great, but no one is perfect

Every year it gets better and I can do my taxes faster. I was a little disappointed when searching for info. It didn't seem to be able to parse out the main item in the question and limit results to that item. Keep up the good work.
What's great about it: Flexibility to jump around and check forms while intering in Step mode
What's not so great: No Notification if entries just made had no effect on refund amount and why

Child incorrectly marked as disabled in State tax

I marked my older child as disabled. It turned out that due to aid he receives, could no claim him. However when I got to the MA form, it indicated that my younger child was disabled even though that was not what was show in the Federal personal information.
What's not so great: Program got stuck on labeling one of my children as disabled. although it was my other child who id disabed.

2013 Fed Forms

Turbo Tax gets harder to use every year due to the complicated tax codes. Turbo tax does help doing your federal taxes.
What's great about it: There are no Pros for me.
What's not so great: Hard to navigate and backup on business and incomes espenses.

Except for last year, I have used Turbo Tax for about 9 years and will never use another product.
What's great about it: good helps.
What's not so great: It was not real clear if I was supposed to mail everything I printed for the Michigan "to file". (Not for my records)

Fairly easy to use. The Sec 179 add back on the NC return was confusing. The box was checked and couldn't be un-checked. Appreciate the carryover information...makes starting the return a breeze! E-filing is so easy. Have used Turbo Tax for several years and appreciate the ease of keeping up with information.
What's great about it: Easy to follow for the most part
What's not so great: NC Return-Problem with 'Sec 179 addback/checked-can't change'
