Turbo is Great

I have used Turbo for probably the last 20 yrs and have found
it to be reliable in my case, easy to use and like the support
that comes with it. As mentioned in the Cons, It would be
great if a password option was added to the program for
security purpose.

Overall the program is acceptable, but there are too many extra fees. After paying for 2 state programs, to have to pay to efile for each one is too much!
FSA contributions are not excluded in NJ State income, but there is no place to show that for medical expenses, so if you don't do an override, your medical expenses (as taken from the Federal) are too low! You need to build this in to the program.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Mishandles FSA for NJ; too many extra fees!

Improved again...gets better each year

I have used TurboTax for a number of years and find this latest iteration the best yet. The input screens flow better, and each section is nicely self-contained. Good job once again!
What's great about it: Very simple, easy flow
What's not so great: Scrolling income or deductions main screens could be double columned so that the scrolling can be eliminated.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Helps with the Drugery

Helpful getting started by transferring all the fill in the blank info like name etc from one year to the next. And once you've started, it's easier to keep going. Being able to compare year over year is a great help.
The state explanations aren't as helpful as the federal ones are.

User for years

When starting TurboTax it asked if I want to check for updates, and when I do it says there's a download available. I select "yes," then it indicates the download will take less than 1 minute. At this point the download just continues indefinitely and will never progress. It just locks up. I forced a stop via task manager. I restarted & tried to just continue the return without updating, but TurboTax would not allow an e-file without updating. After searching help pages, I learned I could manually download the updates. Luckily, it worked & I successfully e-filed. Very stressful. No idea if this is a Windows 8 issue, but it needs to be fixed.
What's great about it: ease of use
What's not so great: first problem ever was this year

Superior Software

The experience was very positive with support ongoing throughout the process. Doing taxes is never a preferable activity, but wife was surprised and happy to see me smiling after working through Intuit TurboTax. I was able to complete our taxes in about 4 hours, which I felt was wonderful, with the complexity of our deductions! Thanks!!!!
What's great about it: Excellent help and coaching throughout!

Confused but believe in TT

What's great about it: Got me returns I didn"t expect.
What's not so great: Confusing on rental property, I know I could have paid more for more info. ; however, I didn"t make enough on the proper

I would recommend this to everyone and anyone. This makes taxes so easy...you will never go to anyone else to do it for you and pay so much. I am a returning user of Turbo Tax and love tax season.
What's great about it: Quick and easy
What's not so great: Nothing :)
