Deficiency in Turbotax deluxe

I have been using TurboTax for quite many years. I was generally satisfied. But this year, wasted a lot of time finding a 'Deduction for Self-employed health Insurance' in the deduction list. TurboTax would not allow entering the amount in line 29, Form 1040 manually. It allow me to put in the amount in Line 36, Form 1040. I could not file the form that way. So I had to print it and put the amount in Line 29 by hand. Second, there is no option to override the penalty that I know from previous experience is incorrect. So I had to revise by hand to delete penalty. Could not e-file because of these changes. Hope next year, TT corrects these deficiencies so I do not have to use a different software package.
What's great about it: Imported investment info from brokers accurately.
What's not so great: Did not allow entering data in Line 29, Form 1040. Also did not let me submit the form without penalty.

had trouble with cd purchased at wal mart couldn't get it to load in my computer. called help desk got help in less than 5 minutes helped me download version off your web site worked flawlessly.

Solved error check

We have used TurboTax for years. This is the first time I needed such help and would not hesitate in a moment to seek your advise again.Thank you, Damian, for evaluating my problem through "create diagnostic copy" and referring me to Paul, tax advisor. My issue was resolved quickly and the hold time was less than ten minutes. I will share my experience with others when recommending TurboTax.

1st retirement return

It did help me get through this years taxes. Wished I did not have to deal with stocks. Program let me wade through the stocks and rental property forms.
What's great about it: Got it done before the 15th
What's not so great: Stock stuff is helpful but needed more help
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I really liked that TurboTax transferred my W-2, saving me time and headache trying to read the small print. I would definitely suggest this to my friends!

All-encompassing service, from links to previous year's data to automatic updates to IRS information. The software even seems to anticipate common errors and usually allows easy corrections, but needs tweaking on deleting misused forms. It would also be nice if the user could go directly to the part of the form that needed change rather than wade through all the preliminary data input pages.
What's great about it: Uncomplicated
What's not so great: Difficult to delete forms if mistakenly used
