Electronic Tax Submission

This is the first year after many that TurboTax failed to provide electronic service for submitting our taxes. Next year I will look for a company that can provide this service.
What's not so great: Unable to electronically submit taxes.

2013 Fed Tax

some things that the IRS doed on the forms is confusing. For instance, why are capital gains/loses reported on two different forms 1099 div and 1099 capital gains/loses? It was difficult for me to sort this out.
What's great about it: entering numbers was easy as usual.
What's not so great: some items that I looked at more deeply were confusing.

SIXTH YEAR AND GOING STRONG

It's like leading a babe through the woods. Very easy to navigate and everything is carefully explained along the way. This is my sixth year using TurboTax; if I have to generate the paperwork and figures to fill in the forms, then why do I have to pay a professional to copy what I've already figured out. Fortunately, my returns are simple.
What's great about it: Easy to comprehend
What's not so great: Haven't found a con yet

Simple to Use

This program is simple to understand and easy to use. It checks and double checks. It catches your errors and prompts you to correct them before you file your return. It transfers your information from previous years, if you used Turbo Tax previously, and transfers your information to your state tax return. It saves time and prevents errors. E-filing is simple and fast. I have been using Turbo Tax for many years.
What's great about it: Shows status of tax refund or owed.

There were not sufficient instructions for filing which forms after efile - just the voucher or a signed 1040 or what?
It was not clear.

I'm not sure my capital gains tax was calculated correctly. At my income level, I understood that this year there would be no long term capital gains tax to pay on at least part of my stock sale, yet it was all added in to my gross income to be fully taxed. why?????
On the death benefit of an inherited annuity, even though the 1099 showed a certain taxable amount, I had to input a lowered gross amount in order to be taxed only on the taxable amount instead of the entire gross amount. why???
In the past, when I donate appreciated stock to a charity, the program asks me when the stock was purchased, which is irrelevant since I should get a deduction for the full value of the stack regardless. When I have tried to use TurboTax for that donation, I do not get full credit for my donation unless I input it as a cash donation instead of as a donated capital asset. why???
I really need to get these questions answered if I am to be confident about continuing to use TurboTax and to recommend it to any else. I hate not to be able to trust it.

Problem with Turbo Tax handling Wisconsin return.

Turbo Tax did not show my IRA RMD direct transfer to a charity as a charitable donation on my WI return.. Had to override the charitable donation total on the WI return. As a result of the override I cannot e-file my WI return.
