I was very disappointed this year. I had many entries to make on 8949. Couldn't get past 8949 until my return was finished. Updates were not available until I was at the end of my return. I think updates should have been made available when beginning my return. I spent days looking for a workaround. I am disappointed that attachments are not supported when e-filing.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate through return
What's not so great: Forms were not available soon enough. Didn't find out about updates until the end of return.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Everything went fine for the federal return. There appears to be a bug in the Massachusetts return that made it very difficult to identify bank interest that is exempt from tax. In my case it wasn't a large amount but it was annoying to encounter such a bug.
What's great about it: Most things went well and it was easy to navigate the system
What's not so great: There is an apparent bug in the state (Massachusetts) return
Pros: I bought or sold investments

This was my second year using TurboTax and migrating my previous year's data was a real time saver. I plan to use TurboTax again next year.
What's great about it: Fill in the blanks, made it easy and simple to complete the return.
What's not so great: I didn't like paying to e-file my state return.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Use TurboTax!

I have used TurboTax for years. I've tried another one-wasn't NEARLY as easy to navigate. I've used a brick-and-mortar tax service-costs lots more and did not give any advantages to me.
I will always use TurboTax.
What's great about it: It's SO easy!
What's not so great: You don't have it.

The end process of reviewing and printing was kind of murky for me.It just never was picture perfect clear to me that the process was over and I was free to leave the program.I was not sure whether I was done or not..

California return does not print correctly. The top of the next page is printed on the bottom of the previous page and the bar codes are all messed up.
Not as easy to follow as last years TurboTax.
What's great about it: Complete
What's not so great: California return not printed correctly

Federal returns become the source input for most of the state fields. This is good and bad in my experience. Some income sources are combined on the fed form that need to be broken out on the State form: Military Pension becomes Fed Gov pensions and then is not eligible for state exemptions on the AZ state return. In the event of a move (from AZ to NY) once you've entered the move date I couldn't get back to it to change it. 1099-G State Tax refund is confusing because unemployment insurance is on the same form number and gets left off Fed form, then has to be manually entered as a correction; same as Military Pension exclusion. Overall it is good and better than trying to do it all manually.
What's great about it: Saved a lot of time not reading tax booklets
What's not so great: Can't get back to some fields for corrections
Pros: I moved

Turbo 2013

I had to research info that was available on last year's turbo filing and it should have been automatically transferred and calculated this year, rather than me having to review last year's data.
What's great about it: asks most of the right question
What's not so great: didn't always refer to previous year to provide info needed
