I always go through the interview, and it works well for me as I have all my backup organized by the same subject as the interview. By doing my own taxes with Turbo Tax rather than having a professional do it, I feel I get a much better idea of how the tax structure works. Please see pros and cons.
This year I opted to have my over payment applied to my quarterly estimates. When the estimate vouchers were printed up, they did not reflect this. I had to open the first voucher and deduct the over payment from the amount shown.
I like the fact that to print a return I am printing a PDF document. On two occasions I had a paper jam that resulted in one page being mangled. After removing the jam and finishing the printing, I could go directly to the page that was mangled using the bookmarks and print just that one.
What's great about it: I have used Turbo Tax for quite a few years. Generally excellent organization and good instructions.
What's not so great: Some entries seem to be calculated in a "Black Box" . I can usually figure out what is happening if I am clever.

I've been using TurboTax for many years. Only time I didn't was when I remarried and we had to process taxes for two states. Then we used an accounting firm to handle the complexities. Have been using TurboTax since then and very satisfied with the software and the process.

Inappropriate Comment

I found it very disturbing that when I filled out the questions regarding the death of my husband in 2012 that I got back a note "Congratulating" for qualitying for the Widows tax benefit. I was really hurtful and I don't find anything about the death of my husband to be cause for being congratulated. I have been using Turbo Tax for at least 10 years and I do plan for this to be my last year. I will use the next year to find an alternate tax preperation software. I am enrolled in auto send and need to know how to cancel that.
What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Inappropriate Comment

problems with form 1099-G: when data requested for Federal, nothing was requested for state (MN) apparently because I had not yet started a state return (dependent upon Fed); because of that, I ended up having to enter state withholding under some type of 'other' which resulted in an odd classification on my state return and an 'error' status that prevented e-filing.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

A friend of mine who never files electronically ask me if I sent a copy my Form SSA 1099 to the IRS. He pointed out that there is an EXCEPTION that says if you have withholding in Box 6 your are suppose to attach a copy to your return. Apparently this first showed up for tax year 2012. I got Form 8453 (transmittal for e-file return), and it says if the form is not listed (and SSA 1099 is not), you cannot file electronically. Too late, my return has already been accepted for 2012 and 2013. I guess I will wait for a response from the IRS.
On the State of Oklahoma return, we are still not being prompted for line 4 of Schedule 511-C (Interest qualifying for exclusion), so I go to Forms and override TurboTax. When I filed electronically TurboTax tried to get me to remove the override. I refused and TurboTax let it go through.
What's great about it: It gets eaiser each year. Loved the import from finanial institutions.
What's not so great: As the years go by, I rely more and more on TurboTax to tell what to do rather than knowing what to do.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
