the system faile to recognize missing decimal in tax witheld amount, which could have been recognized through compare to prior year (same source) income/ tax ratio to current year income/tax amounts entered ratio,

I've been using TurboTax for several years and have been consistently impressed by the step-by-step tutorial that allows the customer to investigate all aspects of one's tax preparation thoroughly. The "live" customer service help has been invaluable on more than one occasion.

Let's simplify the Charitable Contributions section by alphabetizing the listing of charities. When you have 20+ charities it is a tedious process scrolling thru the random listing to match up with your receipts. Seems like a simple programming update that would enhance Turbo Tax.

Excellent Program

Every time I logged in there was an update. This scary if you already filed. If the prices keep climbing for the software I guess we could go back to using pencil and paper.
What's great about it: Appears to ask more details than the competition
What's not so great: The program prices syrocketed this year. Don't care for the extra fees.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Tax season

I would like a little more explanation at the beginning of sections. IE medical - "going to break it out into sections, meds, MD, places.
I guess I always thought TurboTax watched for glitches, but it is really just a faster entry system?
What's not so great: I entered the same info in 2 places and it did not notice/flag

Sensible - Easy to Use

I like the continuity year to year, the ease with which data is entered, especially the sub-worksheets which enable you to back-check and verify the detail of each entry. The IRS seems to have confidence in a TT prepared tax return.
What's great about it: No wasted time filling in prior information. Good ckeck by TT
