Horrible experience

Worse tax filing experience of my life. I've used TurboTax successfully for many years. I don't intend to use it again and I will share my experience with others.
What's great about it: fast
What's not so great: error prone and no provision for correcting turbotax inadequacies

Simply Great

Turbo Tax is so easy to use I am amazed year after year. The guided input makes entering data so easy and the feature to manually go to each section to see (and edit) what has been done so far is so useful.
The thoroughness of providing every needed form and searching and reviewing for deductions and errors makes for a satisfying and comforting experience.
It instills confidence in my tax filing.
What's great about it: Incredibly easy to use. Amazingly thorough.
What's not so great: None to note.

Charge for everything

Have used turbo tax for 5 years, but will be changing next year due to charges for everything. Other programs out there give 3 states free and state and federal together free.
What's great about it: Precise questions and autofill for most of the forms
What's not so great: Charges for more than 1 state and charges to e-file states

excellent product, has always provided the desired results, Have used since 1995 (?) asnd have never had a problem
What's great about it: has always provided the best results, have use3d since its inception
What's not so great: need a way to recall past Id's and passwords

Once again, TT has automated tax return very eventful. At my level of return difficulty, I still appreciate the ease of use and what seem simple explanations of the questions that need answered in the return. The links in the help section are amazing to me since being in such a rapid changing envrionment.
What's great about it: stable and very useable programming
What's not so great: no detailing of CHANGES in tax code from one year to the next

tougher each year

recommended and printed quarterly state payments in 2013, for the 2013 tax year, but program failed to take me to the section where I could claim them. I had to go looking for that deduction.
you are directed to enter 1099's exactly as printed, but if you enter 0.00 in some boxes, it messes up the program.
I mistakenly started to enter my K-1 as a 'Q' instead of a 'LLC'. Even though I deleted the 'Q', it still kept asking me to supply missing information in it.
What's great about it: pulls last year's data into this years form
What's not so great: excessive charge for some fees

Enjoy the familiarity of use over the years, easy to import prior years, enjoy the greater flexibility of moving between interview and forms feature, and the choice of either inserting info by interview or directly into forms with the "add supporting information" feature.
Would appreciate having a version that included free state e-file along with federal as was the case in some previous years.
