Happy-again

This is the second year we have filed using Turbo Tax and we are just as happy as we were last year. The fact that it carries over information from last year is nice and saves time entering data. Last year it took us about two hours to complete. This year just over an hour.
We used to go to one of the major tax prep companies where it took hours, little privacy from their other customers, cost hundreds of dollars and we rarely got a refund. After getting positive reviews from friends and family we decided to give Turbo Tax a try and are very glad we did. I would recommend Turbo Tax to anyone that asks me.

More than I Imagined Possible

What an excellent program. TurboTax is the only way to file your returns quickly with absolutely no fuss. I love the checks at the end that go back and ensure every box is filled correctly, then it checks everything for you yet again and displays your audit risk factor. Definitely beats the memories I have of my parents filing returns by hand, for days, with hundreds of pieces of paper kept in shoe boxes each year. Keep up the great work TurboTax.
What's great about it: So easy with no tax experience or knowledge necessary

Turbo tax was very easy to use except when I went to electronically file. For NH, there is no State form that needs to be filed, but for the federal form to go thru electronically, it needed a state employer id # (box 15). This box has NH listed, but no state id#. I only found out how to get this to go thru by googling it on the internet. For NH, boxes 15, 16 and 17 need to be left blank so the software doesn't check for any of the info not needed...It would have been nice to have turbo tax either have a pop up about that or default to blank for NH.
What's great about it: Easily walked thru all inputs
What's not so great: State of NH info missing

So Easy!

Using the TurboTax download is the way to go. So easy to use...just follow all the directions step-by-step. If you need explanations or help along the way, click on the "Explain" or "More Info" links. TurboTax truly does explain exactly what you need: which information, which documentation, what numbers to fill in where. It's written in a simple, easy-to-understand way which is a bonus. You won't need a degree in accounting or finance to use this product. I especially like the feature that imports and compares your current figures to last year's. It makes seeing your overall tax picture really easy.
What's great about it: Walks you through everything step by step and provides further explanation if you need it.
What's not so great: Be sure to buy from TurboTax site...I found out after I'd bought it elsewhere that the price on TurboTax site was lower!
