TurboTax Continues to ROCK

I've been using Turbo Tax since the beginning of time - more than 25 years I believe! Other than a few years when I had my own consulting company, I've never paid anyone to do my taxes. And the IRS accepts my filing with no questions asked. TurboTax keeps up with the tax law and I'm confident that my taxes are filed accurately and completely. This year they added the Audit Protection. I decided that it was inexpensive insurance to get help at a low cost in the event I am ever audited. Thanks TurboTax!! I can rest easy knowing I'm done filing with very little hassle.
What's great about it: Simple yet comprehensive
What's not so great: none that I can think of

Transfer Difficulties

I used the free, online turbo tax to file last year (2012) and purchased a box copy for this year (2013). The computer I filed on doesn't work anymore, so I don't have access to my saved file. It is too difficult to transfer an online copy of my free turbotax file into the paid CD version. I never was able to get it to work, so I had to order a free copy of my return from the IRS. Not cool turbo tax! It shouldn't be that hard for people that purchase a boxed copy!

Taxes Made Easy!

This product really does make doing my taxes not as stressful. From start to finish, I know this is keeping track of the numbers and making sure I'm filing what I need to file.
What's great about it: Seamless. Efficient. Comprehensive. All the things that make taxes not so painful.
What's not so great: Very few: Menu navigation could get slightly confusing, but hey, it's taxes.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

2013 Turbo Tax

Overall this years edition of Turbo Tax for tax year 2013 was less bulky and had less latency than last years so that was a huge improvement. In addition, the filing process seemed to go by a lot faster as well. Look forward to next year.
What's great about it: Quick, Easy, Plug & File, Convenient, Worth the Money
What's not so great: Payment form times out a little bit too quickly.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Extra fees

While you can deduct the costs of tax software in your federal tax return, this is not possible when Turbo Tax adds the fees after you have completed your return. This process should be changed.
What's great about it: great software
What's not so great: added fees for extra state returns and e-submissions

Good Product

I've used Turbo Tax for years. This is the first time I've had a problem. I expect it will work flawlessly again next year.
What's great about it: Greatly simplified preparation of my return
What's not so great: E-file process somewhat buggy (Mac version)

I find it hard to believe that the costs to file state returns has increased 25%.
What's great about it: Excellent coverage fo rtax items
What's not so great: Cost to file a state return
