I think the cost of the software every year should cover the cost of filing your state return.
What's great about it: thourough, easy to follow
What's not so great: have to pay for state tax filing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Keep up the good work Turbo Tax. With your step by step instructions and suggestions you make it so easy. I will always use this program. I will also recommend it to everyone I have a chance to talk to. Very Happy.

Get an error when submitting my return electronically. Told to get update. does not solve problem. Will not use in the future

Military retirement NJ excluded from St income tax

Glitches and Need to repeat steps 3x

There were glitches in the NJ state tax software. Twice, it would not start a dialogue. On the 3rd try, something changed and the dialogue started.
Many confusing instructions that only became clear in later questions, requiring repeating the dialogue to get it right.
