need to be able to access the form being filled out while going through the prompting, maybe a side by side layout. also need more on page help/explaination for the choices of the forms. not knowing the tax realm I put your knowledge/database ahead of some doubts or uneasy feelings for some areas, mostly for schedule C.

Once again, TurboTax made an onerous task tolerable. Having to do a particularly complex year, this was a wonderful resource.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Import Wonderful

Turbo Tax has made my 10th year of doing taxes with your product so much easier and convenient. This year we were able to itemize because we had some unexpected medical expenses. This was somewhat difficult to wade thru. By that I mean to separate all the medical info for my husband and me into the proper categories. I ended up doing a spread sheet for each of us and working from that. It will also keep records with the same categories that are used on the form should I have to do this next year. On the state form it was difficult to determine what Ohio was doing with this medical credit issue. After doing some Google searches I was able to get some answers.
What's great about it: Being able to import my financial data was a great help.
What's not so great: I had a difficult time finding the reasons for some data I was entering,

Once again, taxes are easier

Doing our taxes for 2013 was once again relatively quick and easy. The walkthough sections make it easy to identify what needs to be entered and the refund box at the top gave us complete information about taxes and refunds when we hovered over it.
The only hiccups we had were that the firewall exclusion did not work right away so we could not update TurboTax and when we went to pay for State e-file we got a certificate warning saying the name on it did not match the web site. The cert was for google and the date was good, so I'm hoping there was not funny business going on.
What's great about it: easy to follow walk-throughs with detailed questions, explainations for obscure items, real-time refund calculator
What's not so great: firewall exclusion did not work until re-boot, security certificate oddness

1. Step by step mode is way too slow and inflexible.
2. 'Do it myself' mode doesn't seem to give any warnings or guidance.
3. Not easy to see the particular form you need when going to Forms mode, which is slow and doesn't seem to mesh well with other modes.
4. Note that the bug with a CAVPDI limit on the W2 is still there (how many years now?). Very frustrating when that pops up after finishing the Checks mode and you are trying to file.

Always use this every year. Confirms and identifies issues that may otherwise have been overlooked.
What's great about it: The foreign tax calculation for misc mutual funds has been simplified. Thank you.
