TurboTax-The best way to spend the worst day!

I absolutely hate income tax preparation and Turbo Tax continues to make that job easier and easier for me! I like the way Turbo Tax leads me through all of the details of the tax law and ensures that my data is entered into the right forms. The continual data and error checking gives me a feeling that the process is being done right and the item by item tax due/refund status helps me understand the importance of each item as it applies to my total tax picture. I like the tax history that Turbo Tax gives me, showing how my returns compare from year to year. That comparison gives me confidence that the process is being done right and that I haven't omitted a significant item. Thanks, TurboTax! What do you have coming for next year?
What's great about it: The ability to download 1099 forms from institutions!
What's not so great: That all institutions 1099 forms did not download!

My experience with TT

All went well, and received my state refund 2 weeks ago, but have nt received my Fed refund as of this date.
What's great about it: The ease and speedy resolution of Q&As
What's not so great: None except how long should I wait to question where my refund is?
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbo Time

I only stumbled in the one area of FSA income treatment for the Flex Spending health account. 1099-MISC. It goes on the line of other income not be be repeated, in the additional questions. I have used Turbo Tax for years and will continue to.
What's great about it: The interview process, and "walk me thru" is the only way to go. You do not have to know taxes to do an interview.
What's not so great: None to speak of

Goes Well Every Year

All in all, a very good product. I buy a copy for our son and his wife, and for the staff at our senior center for their home use.
What's great about it: Handles Retiree Scenarios Well
What's not so great: If I need to go back and fix one thing, I needed to march through all the remaining checks in that section again.

Failed to import

Mac version claimed to import prior year's tax return from competitor. Once you actually tried to import, it stated it couldn't import the tax file, only a pdf version. Trying to import a pdf failed consistently. First Intuit stated they would fix the problem. Later they stated there was no problem--TurboTax would only import the web version pdf. I had used the CD version, so I had to type everything in manually. Very disappointed.
What's great about it: EasyStep
What's not so great: claimed ability to import from competitor didn't work

Incomplete roleup to 2013 file, without state file.
2013 Version is not as user friendly as previous;
- hard to navigate to worksheets
- harder to review forms
- seems to be getting very complex

What's not so great: Info from 2012 returns did not role up as well to 2013 return as previously experienced
