So Easy

I sat down thinking that I would be up all night finishing the taxes and was done in an hour. We have a large family, children in college, and lots of deductions and credits. It was a breeze to import and enter the data.
What's great about it: College stuff made easy, fills in stuff from last year

Amazing!

Every year I marvel at how easy it is to use Turbo Tax. By having all needed information together ahead of time, one's taxes can be calculated quickly and accurately without spending hours trying to do it by hand or spending money having it done professionally. I totally trust the results from Turbo Tax and have recommended it to a number of people.

I love Turbo Tax it makes filing pleasant and easy. Took me an 1.5 hour to file Federal and State. Ya!

Use Turbo Tax Every Year

I enjoy using Turbo Tax every year. It is an easy tax software to use, and it helps remind me of all the tax categories I need to address to file my taxes. The only thing that is awkward is having to re-answer certain questions in sections if I return to review those areas before filing (even though I save the file). Also, if I visit certain categories just for inquiry, the software will sometimes create a tax form in those areas (even if it inserts a "zero" on the lines in question).
What's great about it: Straightforward questioning. Good support when needed
What's not so great: When reviewing a section, sometimes have to re-enter data.

Not always intuitive!

Two big compalints that cost me MUCH wasted time -
1. I refinanced my home this year and was therefore eligible to deduct unclaimed points from previous loan. However, when I completed the mortgage interest section for that loan, it indicated only 1/30 of the points amount. It was only after I changed the 'interest paid' amount that I discovered that the unclaimed points had, in fact, been deducted - CONTRARY to the "Congratulations, you get to deduct $102" message.
2. On the education deduction section, the 2013 return carried over my school information from last year's return. I clicked 'continue' rather than 'edit' because the information shown was CORRECT. However, it WOULD NOT allow me to enter my education expense because it said I was not eligible. I had to dig deep into the help resources to find I was not the only one that encountered this scenario. Contrary to other places in the software, one MUST click 'edit' to enter details.
