Easier to use each year

Turbo Tax has good reminders and explanations of all the questions regarding your itemized deductions.
What's great about it: Love the comparison to prior years history.
What's not so great: Need better communication of deduction limitations.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax works well for filling out federal forms. Filling our the state form is getting better, but not as easy to review and select individual topics to edit as it is with the federal form. It takes me a couple of days to fill in all the information, check the federal and state instruction books to confirm that I haven't missed anything and that calculations are correct, then verify that all forms are correct.
To me, the one part of the federal form that is a waste of time is filling in addresses and dates for monetary charitable contributions. Don't need this redundant documentation.
Electronic filing is convenient and free for federal return. It should be free for the state form as well. The "convenience" fee of 2.48% for paying with a credit card can add quite a bit, too.
What's great about it: Free federal filing; auto fill from previous year
What's not so great: Charge for State; state process not as mature as federal

Very Helpful

The disk I purchased would not load and the customer service rep was very helpful and actually a lot of fun to talk to while waiting for the download to go through. I am a big fan of Turbo Tax!

This seemed to be super easy. I almost felt like I was doing something wrong. If all goes well I get a refund!! Yea!! Thank you for offering the program. I pay a lot of fees when filing in an establishment. I hope this is all that it seems to be.

retail version broken

error efiling with retail vers even though all updates have been applied.Had to uninstall retail vers and install a dnld version and manually update in order to fix...help discussions on line were useless being 3 yrs out of date
What's great about it: tax program itself thorough
What's not so great: unable to e file without dnld version

It works, but

I like turbo tax. I does what I calculated. BUT the packaging of Deluxe is deceiving. There should be a note statiting that there will be extracharges for filing state returns.
What's great about it: Easy, breezy, and all that
