Get Turbo Tax! Worry Free, I Did.

love Turbo Tax, been using it for a few years now. never had any problem. if I didn't understand something it explains everything in detail. I use direct deposit and get a fast return. I learn a lot about my taxes by doing it my self to me its the best way to see how your taxes are being used and how its benefits you and your tax return. I love it I would never go to a tax preparer after using Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: easy, covers all deduction Plus "headache Free" and affordable.
What's not so great: none

Help With a Most Dispicable Chore

When a penalty is computed it should be made more apparent. I had difficulty reconciling the "payment due" and the "balance due" until I read the cover sheet indicating a penalty was charged. I assume the penalty was for not making quarterly payments but I cannot be sure.
What's great about it: Generally very "intuitive.".

I think this version was easier than last years!
What's great about it: Don't have to worry about calculating errors...all the forms you need are there and available..easy to use...

Almost There

For those of us who have multiple charitable donations but do not use the 1 program that would allow us to import the contributions the process to enter them one-by-one into Turbo Tax is very slow. The ability to import Name, Date & Amount from Quicken, Excel or a .csv file would be an excellent upgrade. At the very least, when you sort your Charities List by name they should remain in that order until you resort them. Currently, if you sort the list then edit a charity, the sort reverts back to the default, in-order-created, sequence when you return to the list to edit another charity.
What's great about it: Complete step-by-step process.
What's not so great: Entering Charitable Contributions is very time consuming

Not for MAC

If you have an APPLE product, you may want to download online rather than use a CD. We used Turbo Tax on this computer last year and had no difficulty. The process was easy. Loading and e-filing were very difficult.
What's great about it: All went well until time to file.
What's not so great: Had a terrible time loading initially on an iMac and then a lot of trouble to transmit on iMac
