Turbo Tax Customer Service is 2nd to none! I am a customer service rep and would love to work for this company because they do business the way I like to do business. Amazing!
What's great about it: The program thinks of every possibility! It's deductible is amazing
What's not so great: I don't think it's quite as user friendly as it used to be. Seems like you need to actually have a little tax knowledge

The way Turbo Tax guides you through the steps of your return make it quick and easy to know where you need to focus your time. I have used it for about four years without any problems.

Almost painless

My wife and I are colleage professors. We bought a second home this year, and used money from a tax-deferred retirement account as part of the down-payment. So our tax situation was a bit more complex than last year. I had to search for information on those two situations - it was on the TurboTax site, but not built into the program. Still, it took 4 hours to do our federal and state taxes - much less time than if I'd been doing it manually. And I feel like I really did do them "right." Love this program.
Biggest complaints - no Linux version, so I have to use Windows. And it is slow, on my machine.

Had more problems this year then in the past 5-6 years. Would not print forms properly to file.
What's great about it: easy, quick
What's not so great: quirky this year. Could not print. No city form for Grand Rapids, MI

TurboTax has become a tradition for me

I have come to rely on TurboTax to guide me thru the maze of doing my taxes each year. Instructions are in plain English and easy to understand. I'd even feel better about TurboTax if you could bring the price down, but I also understand that quality doesn't come cheap!
