Easy as pie

Not catch erroneous entry//Not pick up last yr dat

In entering SS info, there are three places to enter amount. In the last entry, I did not enter a decimal point, assuming that the program did this. So, the entry came out at one hundred thousands not thousands. (316700 instead of 3167.00). When they figured Medicare "tax" using the higher number, my federal tax bill was some $600 higher!! Need to have some way to compare numbers to find these. Am sure this is a common error. I caught it during detailed review of all worksheets.
The program did not recognize/find any of my 2012 data, although I used TT on this same computer last year and filed electronically. I had my hard copy of last years, so info was available, but would have been nice to see comparison with previous years returns.

This program is wonderful and walks you through every option tax wise that you might encounter. This year we had investment information to provide and the Turbo Tax program made it so very easy.
We appreciate the flexibility in being able to use one product for ourselves filing jointly and our adult children who file single.
We can highly recommend Turbo Tax.

So easy to do my taxes!

As with every year I've done my own returns with TurboTax, this time was just as easy. I love walking through the prep of the return with prompts from TurboTax. It's like having an expert sitting right next to me asking me for the information needed.
What's great about it: Walking through the preparation is the best!
What's not so great: Fill in the local tax information from my federal return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Overall an excellent product. This is the 4th year I've used Turbo Tax to file my returns. I plan to use it again next year.
What's great about it: Found deductions I would have missed
What's not so great: Some of the requests were not clear

I survived my 2013 taxes!

The sales tax deduction part needs some work. It kept trying to add the standard deduction to my large purchase deduction so to fix it, I just added the large purchase with my other receipts and input that amount.
What's great about it: Easy to input info
What's not so great: Hard to get back to some forms. Found issue with sales tax deduction.

Not intuitive

It is not intuitive to move back and forth between input worksheets and forms
I could not find actual forms until I was ready to file - up until then they included all the little worksheets - an option should be given to see the form without the worksheet
When I wanted to review a section, the "interview" started again from scratch, rather than letting me see what I had already input. It's very tedious to re-enter everything.
The back button generally did not take me back one screen, but instead back to the beginning of the section
When I pushed "edit" or "update" - a number of times the link did not take me back to the screen where I could change or edit an entry

Could not download Turbo Tax. Tried to sign in, didn't have password. Tried to reset password. Never received new password via e-mail. Had to pick up Turbo Tax at box store.
Paid $20 less then the price from the Turbo Tax website.
Other than above Turbo Tax is great.
