2013 not as good as 2012 and before

This years Turbo tax took a step back in easy of use. Many calculations resulted in internal decisions it took me a lot of time to understand. EG: After filling out Schedule A, the program decided to use standard deductions without telling me. Also, it did not look for previous years turbo tax file to import.
What's not so great: Did not import information from privious years turbo tax filings

Wont use your service next year. I will find a dependable auto filing product.
What's not so great: Unable to E File. Software put me in an update loop, or the update was inaccurate.

I think I got good value for my money. My wife and I were able to get our Federal and State taxes completed without too much stress, and knocked it out in a couple of hours.
What's great about it: Fairly quick. Questions were easy to understand
What's not so great: The few issues that needed resolving on my return were a little hard to understand, but we made it through OK.

I found the amount of my refund switched back and forth from owing to getting a refund even when I did not enter additional info. I saved between sessions, but I kept seeing that the negative number was a positive one the next time I opened the program.
What's great about it: Better than filling in forms manually
What's not so great: Refund amount kept changing without additional info entered
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I am a long time user of Turbo Tax. I highly recommend it. Much cheaper than a tax preparer and I have every confidence that my taxes are complete, correct, and my refund is maximized.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax gave me confidence!
What's not so great: It saved my files in a weird place that had me worried for a bit. Pay attention to how you save your files.

Disappointed in MD Turbo Tax
on April 6, 2014

I have never found such blatant errors in Turbo Tax before! MD Form 505 did not ask a question about deduction method, std vs itemized.... and didn't select either on the file by mail method! As a result, all the calculations on Page 2 were wrong. As soon as I chose e-File, the forms were completed correctly! Crazy bad Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: TT sorted through the differences between Fed and state laws
What's not so great: The supporting schedule 505NR tax did not feed Form 505 line 32b!!!!!
