Compute first!

I like TurboTax - I've used it for years. I always get a correct return and maximize my refund. However, I have one complaint. TurboTax will force me to enter a bunch of data for exemptions, deductions, credits, etc. for which I'm ineligible. It the tells me at the end that I can't use the credit. For example, I spent quite some time looking up education expenses and entering them only to find out my income is too high to be eligible for this deduction. TurboTax had to know this before I went to all the trouble.
What's great about it: Don't have to find forms. Calculations all correct.
What's not so great: Makes me enter data for some things for which I'm not eligible.

2013 Tax

Phone help saved DAYS!!

Once I knew my CPA was using turbotax, I assumed I could do my taxes myself with turbotax. Sure enough, you led me through a very complicated return (own business), and I was pleased with the results. I've been using ever since.
What's great about it: Typically good coverage and the phone gal was patient, knowledgeable and more.
What's not so great: Required updates necessary (I know) but a nuisance nonetheless.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I have been using TT since MacIntax. Last year and this year, EasyStep skipped 1040ES. I had to go back and find it in Forms and then look for it in Topics. It introduced the ES forms in my State program, but not in the Federal.

Easily loads prior tax info, stored in your computer, into the new return. Also incorporates it into state returns.

Tax is Paid!

TurboTax is a great software to use. Very easy to use and the software walks you through the tax forms. I used it last year and it was great that it brought in last year's tax return, so it was a matter of updating stuff. The state portion is not as developed as the federal, but that's probably understandable.
Will use TurboTax again next year.

Never Disappointed

I have used TurboTax for the past several years. This is after I got tired of paying another agency more money to do my return and not getting my full return. TurboTax is very user friendly and walks you through the process step by step. It continuously checks for errors. For consistent users, TurboTax uses the previous years information to fill in forms and predict the current taxes. The only drawback is that it only compares returns from the previous year. I wish it would go back a couple years to compare returns but that is because I thrive on information. TurboTax never disappoints.
What's great about it: User friendly
What's not so great: Wish I could compare more then just the previous year.

Keeps getting better

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. It has all my previous information on file which is brought down quickly. Now in my 70's, I need something that is easy for me to understand and Turbo Tax fits my needs
