TurboTax 2014 a pain in the rear!

Although I downloaded and installed multiple updates, the Indiana State Tax form never correctly calculated my taxes. The largest part of my income was from Kentucky, and I paid both local and county taxes there as well as in Indiana. I finally had to do my state taxes manually and had them checked by my accountant before I could file.
Although the Federal taxes were correctly calculated, I repeatedly was told that I could not file electronically because I needed to install an update, even though I had already done so just before trying to file - twice, in fact. So I'm also filing my Federal forms by mail.
I won't bother to purchase this program next year - money wasted.

What's great about it: auto entered my personal information
What's not so great: calculations for Indiana State Taxes wildly inaccurate

Turbo tax for 2013

Turbo Tax is great except for the fact that now printing must be done with .pdf files. I do not have the ability to print .pdf files. Until this year, I was easily able to print my forms because they were in the format of .doc files. I hope next yhear this problem will be fixed. There should at least be an option. In your review, you give only options for single, living with a partner or married. I am none of those. I am a widower. That is a valid status. I refuse to call myself just single.
What's great about it: OK - mostly great support
What's not so great: Need for .pdf files. I do not print .;pdf files.

Always great - this year there was a slight hiccup

I had trouble e-filing. the app would indicate that there were updates that needed to be applied even though my app was current. I had to restart my system, then the filing went smoothly.
What's great about it: easy to understand. great FAQs
What's not so great: Trouble e-filing - received error for app not updated

Awesome Product

I believe this is the 7th year I've used TurboTax. It typically handles my tax return very well and saves me a bundle on tax preparer fees. It also transfers data from year-to-year, retrieves data from my employer and investment accounts, and fills in the forms for me. What could be easier? I'll be using it again next year!
What's great about it: Straightforward and fast
What's not so great: Details beyond standard renain a little confusing
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I've done Turbo Tax for several years and will continue to use it. In the past years I was able to deduct the cost of Turbo Tax and this year I didn't see anywhere where this could be done.
