Filing can be a problem. If you want to E-file your federal but want to mail the state you have to E-file the federal first and the go back to the file section and state you are going to mail the federal to get to the point where you can mail the state. It then tells you that you already E-filed the federal and then will allow you to print to mail the state taxes. This can be confusing if you do not know how you play around this problem. If you go back and tell if you E-file the federal and mail the state later it will tell you that you E-filed the federal but will only allow you to E-file the state. You have to trick it into thinking you are going mail the federal the second time to get to the point where you can print the state for filing. I have been using Turbo Tax since 1994 and will continued to do so in the future.
What's great about it: The basics are easy
What's not so great: So aspects you have to know how to make changes that are not explained correctly on the program

Good Experience except

Did not like the Roth IRA Worksheets, Could not figure out how to input prior years information on Spouse Roth IRA Basis. Need better Instructions for that Portion. This years TURBO Tax did not transfer prior year spouses Roth IRA info.
What's great about it: overall a easy experience

Have used Turbo Tax for years always the best refund and less expensive tha H&R Block
What's great about it: Fasy to use, easy to check confident of no audit
What's not so great: Energy Star refund deleted

I waited several days for an answer to one of my questions submitted on the web site. Response times could be improved. I completed a Nebraska state return without much
feedback from the software as I worked through the sections. It would be nice to know what is happening.

Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Overall - good product with easy to understand questions and guidance through a way too complicated tax process.

What's not so great: unabel to eliminate a scheduled used in previous years

i appreicate the questions being in bold and misc details being in normal font. I like being able to skim through things that don't apply to me. the only rough patch I ran into this year was trying to enter 1099-G. I honestly don't even remember why I got it from the state. I hope it was my refund from last year, but naturally the form has no details on it.
