Easy and accurate

Although I have training in tax preparation, I have used TurboTax for years. With TurboTax's step-by-step approach, doing your own taxes is made as simple and painless as possible without sacrificing accuracy.
What's great about it: TurboTax walks you through step-by-step to make certain you don't miss anything.
What's not so great: None.

It is really confusing to report royalties on intellectual property. It was slightly easier this year, but I spend an inordinate amount of time getting around the "report your expenses managing your rental property" section. All for a thousand dollars of book royalties.

Have used since the software was called MacInTax. Never have experienced a problem. Nice flow; simplifies complexity.

Saves me the money I'd spend on a paid preparer. Explanations are thorough.
What's great about it: Walks you through everything. Liked the connectivity with financial institutions.
What's not so great: Set up page for multiple donations to one charity instead of having repeatedly enter.

Turbo Tax is da bomb

I've used Turbo Tax for years and would not do my taxes without it. One of the biggest advantages is that I can import my information from last year's file, saving a lot of time and minimizing errors. In addition, I don't have to read any tax code or other gobble-de-gook documents in lawyer-speak. It's straightforward.
What's great about it: Easy, straightforward, up-to-date
What's not so great: Re-asking seemingly unimportant questions
