Good But You Can Do Better

I want more control over what I print (dislike the need to print vouchers on separate sheets, a real paper waster).
Had trouble with Form 8606, difficult to manage, led to overrides which Turbo Tax did not like.
What's great about it: Nice screens; well ordered.
What's not so great: More printing options. More space for requested explanations.

Overall pretty good, although the AMT tax section is difficult to understand.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: sometimes print is too smalll

Now for married gay couples!

My partner and I were married in 2011, after having been together for 33 years. Following the fall of DOMA in 2013, we were able to file jointly this year. Using TurboTax made this easy. It also made it possible to compare what we would have paid, had we filed as Single, as in the past. Unfortunately, we discovered the downside of the "marriage penalty," assuming we had all of our figures correct. But, the upside outweighs that.
What's great about it: Made it easy to transition to a joint return

Everything went well in putting things together. The help files were pretty good, and I was able to correct a couple of silly errors that I made in my selections. However, I ended up with a couple of errors, and the program did not give me enough information to fix these errors. I finally figured it out, made the corrections, and filed my taxes.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

It took me less time and everything was asked that I breezed through the tax process. It wasn't confusing or difficult to use. I'll recommend it to all my friends and use it every year!
