Easy Breezy!

It's been more than 10 years since we've started using Turbotax. I love the way it pulls in last years information. I'm confident it's giving me the same results as any of the franchise outfits would where the person on the other side of the desk is only using similar software but your paying for a service that you would think included expanded knowledge that's really not there.
What's great about it: Navigates you through all possible scenarios and deductions!
What's not so great: Would Like State E File to be included in price.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I am on the annual upgrade for TT and every year there are only 2 options--get on the plan or pass. Put a third option to click on if a person is already on--or call it continue to upgrade. The pass option makes me wonder if you are going to quit sending it if I choose that option.
What's great about it: Same as always. Easy to work with and reliable.

Interest & Dividends

I didn't find looking up my payors of interest & dividends all that easy, so I typed them out. Why weren't those schedules printed out for me as everything else was. Makes it seem like I'm not getting my money's worth.
What's great about it: Walks you through process, easy.
What's not so great: Did not generate my hand typed list of 1099int and 1099div

E-file Fed return was a pain this year that I hadn't seen in past years (customer since mid-2000's). Error message that most current downloads had not been accomplished and would not complete. It took a while to figure out that I had to restart my computer and then not look for a new download. There was no help available that I could find to this fix.

simple & easy to use, easy transfer of stuff from last year, i like the help with deciding if something applies or not, federal filing was simple and quick. i like the form view as well, print interface works well. stat return was easy to fill out. state filing is annoying. Every year i have to call & get help with the state filing fee. long wait on the phone (in March), helpful tech took care of my problem and waived the fee. fix this or I'm going to something else. i was patient the first time. my patience with this issue is gone.
What's great about it: easy to do with interview questions
What's not so great: state filing required phone help again
