Awesome....as always

I love how the software is easy, quick & detailed. I do wish there was no charge for e-filing or if that was contemplated into the TurboTax software price. That way, I don't need to enter in a credit/debit card info.
What's great about it: Detailed, but quick.
What's not so great: Validating e-file goofed up, but eventually got it to work.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

The irony of paying for someone to do prepare your tax return is that YOU do all of the work gathering the information for the person. They had you and organizer and you organize the work for them. They actually plug in the data into a software program, then you write a check for several hundred dollars to get back a pretty printed report for you to sign. Save the money, let Turbotax ask you the questions and prepare the pretty report for you to sign. In the end, the same or less time and certainly less cost. Unless your taxes or personal situation changes a lot from year to year, you're spending too much to have someone prepare your taxes.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

2013 Turbo Tax

was quick and easy to follow. The only problem I had was last year my farm rental income went on a form F. This year they stuck it on a form E for standard rental property. Confused me.
What's great about it: fast easy instructions abd instalation.
What's not so great: Changed farm rental property to rental and royalties

What a great tool!

I have used TurboTax online for years, but the CD is cheaper and just as simple. Plus, you don't have to keep signing in! I love it. The program is very easy to use, anticipates your questions and answers them very thoroughly and in easy to understand language.

Turbo Tax makes tax filing easy

The software is self explanatory. So easy to use. The process is explained step by step with help if needed. The important thing is to have your documents ready as Turbo tax takes you from income to deductions to review forms to filing very quickly.
I have used turbo tax for over 5 years and it is a terrific software program so you understand your taxes. It allows you to see the refund and how things affect the refund.
What's great about it: So easy to use, follow the steps, all the way to filing
What's not so great: none

Another Year - Another Painfree return with Turbo

This year's version was great. Better explanations of the rules. The update feature for new forms/laws, etc. was much faster than prior years.
Long term user - why change when something works. Turned a friend on to TurboTax last year (he was doing his manually). He was amazed at how quick and easy it was. He ended up doing his kids taxes as well.
The hardest part of the process was completing this review - this is the 5th rejection - kind of destroys all the good work done on the tax software.
What's great about it: Better explanations this year over prior year's. The updates for new forms/rules is faster

TurboTax saved me over $400 this year

Been using TurboTax since late 90's to help with W2 filing. But changed to 1099 contractor status last year and paid a tax preparer over $400 last year to help me through the tax process since I'd never done taxes as 1099 contractor before. This year, went back to TurboTax and the program made filing a cakewalk.
What's great about it: Walked me through every stage of the process
