What's great about it: Able to file taxes easily and quickly
What's not so great: Instructions for California carryover needs review. May be incorrect. Went to state website to get exact instructions

Very good step by step guidance

I totally recommend this. I used to work as a tax preparer with some tax company and this year my first experience using Turbotax. It was way easier than the software I used to use at my job. So straightforward with clear step by step guidance. The only part I didnt like was the state credits because they were kinda confusing.
What's great about it: Clear, understandable procedure
What's not so great: Some credits, esp state, were not completely explained
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Finished my return with confidence

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years now and I am comfortable with their step by step process that gets me through all the tedious avenues of tax preparation. I would recommend this product to any individuals who don't have a complicated life and would like to save the money of using a CPA. I definitely would not recommend any of those quick stop tax prep places as the staff used are usually not smarter than the tax software that Turbo Tax has to offer.
What's great about it: step by step process
What's not so great: needed an upgraded version for a minor reason

I have been using TurboTax in a row for 5 years. It's becoming more and more efficient and in particular, very user-friendly.
What's great about it: user friendly, smooth transitions from one page to another, precise examples
What's not so great: State filing can be improved with examples

Great product!

I've used TurboTax for many years. Since using it, I haven't received any letters indicating I made an error and I've found thousands of dollars of deductions and credits that I would otherwise not have found or have been able to figure out. Great product!

I have been using TurboTax for nearly twenty years now and though I detest the actual preparation for and filing of my taxes, TurboTax always makes the best out of an understandingly unpopular task.. I am always pleasantly surprised by on going updates every year that allows for importing more data from external sources simplifying the task even more.

Unable to File Electronically Again

Went through the complete process of filling in and electronically filing my return with all checks telling me that I was good to go. However after submitting all my information and paying for the state taxes to be filed electronically, it rejected my attempt to file because I do not have a Tax ID number for a pension I receive from outside the US. This is the second year this problem has occurred however last year the program warned me about this prior to filing, this year it didn't.
What's great about it: Walked me through the process with ease
What's not so great: Unable to file electronically again due to none US Pension
