Good Package

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years. The developers have a fine line to draw between those with absolutely no experience on tax issues and those with a reasonable amount of insight. They seem to do it well most every year. Would grade this an A-. My bias is a desire to see lengthier explanations of the various tax issues I could encounter. On the other hand I put myself on the positive side of the bell curve in terms of experience and knowledge.
What's great about it: Reasonably Easy to Use. Intuitive
What's not so great: Not as much context immediately available for specific questions of tax interest.

Good Tool - Been using it for years

Generally a very good tool. Historically always easy to use; we don't have anything too complicated. This year the Roth IRA conversion process in TurboTax was confusing and left us with what appeared to be a major taxable amount until we could figure out how to enter the data properly. Once we did, it was fine.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions
What's not so great: Challenged with Roth IRA conversions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

My main concern is Sometimes the "Back" button went back several screens.
Also, it seems that it doesn't always return to exactly where you had left off the last time you closed the program.

Have been using this product for many years. This product has worked well as life events have changed (e.g., kids, college, investments, heading toward retirement, etc.). Very easy to use and reliable.

Done for Another Year!

I found it unclear what to do with an inherited IRA 1099 R form. When I went to the Help section, I didn't really find the help I needed. Otherwise, software worked great for what I needed to do.
What's great about it: Relatively easy to use
What's not so great: 1099 R questions weren't right for my situation.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Great Return year after year

We've been using turbo tax for the past 6 years and it has gotten better and easier to use each year (which is nothing short of a miracle considering the tax code continuous to get more and more complicated each year.
What's great about it: Love how easy they make this for they lay tax person
What's not so great: Additional non-routine forms are easy to access, but sometimes require more research and understanding
