A very useful and practical tool for tax preparation by ordinary persons - Being a computer nerd not required to work with this program.

We are an older couple busy downsizing in retirement and donating a LOT of household items. Those charitable items were a snap to assign value to with your program.
On the other hand, please, please, fix the trouble with the updates relating to filing. We were pulling our hair out about that, and seriously considered not using Turbo tax next year.
Since we have not had the problem before, we did decide that we would use Turbo tax one more year and hope this issue is fixed.

I have been preparing and filing my taxes with Turbo Tax for several years and have never been dissatisfied! It seems to get easier each year.
What's great about it: Hardest part of whole process was accumulating necessary files.

Turbo Tax for the first time

Decided to try Turbo Tax for first time as family income for 2013 exceeded maximum allowed for certain deductions for the first time.
Glad we did as a few thresholds were exceeded which I would not have caught and thus won't have an unexpected additional tax bill once processed by the IRS.
What's great about it: Accurate and all encompassing to not miss any type of income or deduction
What's not so great: A bit of a different order from printed tax form
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

For those of us with simple returns that have no complex tax issues it can be pretty easy. But you do have to wade through a lot of extraneous situations and questions that start to make you second guess if you are responding correctly at times.
What's great about it: Ease of data entry
What's not so great: Occasional confusion about when some situations apply
