I am self-employed and make 401k and Keogh contributions. Every year I go through Turbo Tax and I seem to miss where Turbo Tax asks me for these contributions. I even go back and actively search, but often just can't find it. I have missed the deduction 3 different years and have needed to amend my return a year of 2 later when I realize it.

Almost like having someone else do your taxes

About the only thing I would change at this point is if clicking on the forms tab/icon opened the form in a separate window so you can read the form and the reference at the same time.
What's great about it: Very smooth and strightforward
What's not so great: Not much
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Give and Take without the hate

Overall, a very excellent product!
What's great about it: It's Deductible feature is awesome, also liked the ability to jump straight into a section
What's not so great: Used IRA section for a hypothetical situation and had troubles removing an entered amount

Too much

My experience with turbo tax is that the previous year supports the input for the current year. This didn't happen.
Maybe it has to do with the fact that intuit does not support the mac. I could not load the PDF file from my 2012 return into the 2013 software. It could not see it due to the wrong suffix. This never was a problem and I have been using Turbo Tax since 2007.

Wasted over 3 hours of my time.
What's great about it: imports info from last year
What's not so great: you finish your return before you find out you can't run update because you must log on as the administrator.
