I really enjoy the Turbo Tax products. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my return is as accurate as possible. I love that I can file my own taxes and save on the preparation costs. I will never use any other tax prep software.
What's great about it: User-friendly, quick, accurate filing, and kinda fun!
What's not so great: Is there a version that can be downloaded onto an iPAD?

Again, Simple and Fast!

I have been using TurboTax for over ten years. It continues to be very useful for completing my Federal and State taxes. Even though my taxes are only moderately complicated I would never again go back to doing them alone.
What's great about it: Maximized deductions easily.
What's not so great: Cannot e-File State return for free.

I love it. It is always easy to follow and very explanatory when you need it...
What's great about it: Easy to follow, I was stuck twice and both times I found my answer from the community help Turbo Tax provides.
What's not so great: A little pricey but way better than paying someone else!

Works well for NY/NJ

Works surprising well for two states (I live in NJ but work in New York City). I still do not know about taxes in the city.
What's great about it: Easy do use
What's not so great: the fees informed during the process, but no total until you finish it.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's not so great: I want to pay estimated taxes and I have a hard time finding the topic.

foreign assets

I have a foreign bank account. For lay persons, it would be nice if there were a clear distinction between 'accounts', assets' etc etc - those words mean very little to me - I DO know what most people know, what checking accounts are, what savings accounts are - so why not use those words?
What's great about it: I like the first steps...
