USE TURBOTAX AGAIN & AGAIN

Overall, turbotax greatly facilitates completion of returns. Negotiate State return submission without added fee.
What's great about it: Edit features
What's not so great: No incremental tax/credits subtotals for each Schedules, only aggregate total tax change.

Simple Is As Simple Does

TurboTax takes the worry out of filing. All the laws are in the program, as well as all the possible deductions. All the necessary forms are generated. I just filled in the blanks!
What's great about it: Figures out laws and forms for me
What's not so great: Had to backtrack to correct mistake

A week of nightmare

We had a difficult time. For some reason we lost the thing when we were almost d0ne, and had to start all over again.
We had a difficult time because turbo tax listed our pension mony for 212 but not for 213. It took a while and a phone call to realize that it was because Michigan does not tax pension funds. We also had difficulty with the Investment section, not because of turbo tax, but because of gathering our material.
I have a hunch that if we had our heads better organized it would have gone better.

Yea! Easily & Quickly DONE

Have used it for several years. Plan to continue! Wish the end of this review would shut it down. At the end, there's no instructions on where to go next.
What's great about it: Simple, easy to follow instructions. Quick. Confident in results

Beats the competition

This is the gold standard. I've tried competitors like HR Block software but none are as good as Turbotax.
What's great about it: Easy to install, readily picked up last year's return
What's not so great: Wish I could go back to check details without having to answer so many irrelevant questions

I find Turbo tax good but very tedious. there's no way to skip pages if you know where you need to be. You have to click and click and click until you finally get to where you have to enter data. This year Turbo tax said that I had miss-entered info I HAD NOT. In other words I had to alter the information I received on a K-1 to get TT to accept it. Does not seem right to you? But I could not ignore it...my return was frozen until I fudged the information.
What's great about it: saves info from year to year
What's not so great: Every year a "surprise" comes up AFTER I pay my fee to e-file on the state level. VERYVERY aggravating
